The doubters are winning now.

Our book writing has stuttered along, bogged down by the search for a unifying theme and a clear, distinct voice; the lack of a firm publishing deadline; and our own weaknesses for other distractions.

Should I watch this football match, or try and write?
Should I attend cousin's birthday party, or try and write?
Should I go jogging today, or try and write?

One is constantly redefining what activities are necessary. Despite a quite concerted effort to shift items from life's "Must Do" List to her "Luxury Activity" List, time is still at a premium.

Inertia's force is magnified in literary adventures. Her cousin, procrastination, gnaws away quietly at the artist's soul...

The doubters are winning now.
